Bed bug problems have
returned to the United States at an alarming rate! Dr.
Michael Potter at the University of Kentucky states, "In recent
years, bed bugs have also made a comeback in the U.S. They are
increasingly being encountered in homes, apartments, hotels, motels,
dormitories, shelters and modes of transport. International travel and
immigration have undoubtedly contributed to the resurgence of bed bugs
in this country. Changes in modern pest control practice - and less
effective bed bug pesticides - are other factors suspected for the
recurrence." See The
University of Kentucky Entomology Web Site Fact Sheet for more
information.

RPC's Premium
Bed Bug Control Features: State of
the Art Steam Technology -- Our steam system kills bed bugs
and their eggs in your mattresses, carpeting and other furniture,
giving a quick-start, quick-kill of many bed bugs in the first few
minutes of treatment. Long-Term Residual Control
-- Our products are the best in the industry! Our bed
bug treatment materials offer a long residual, continually killing
bed bugs for months. Crack and Crevice Control
-- We treat thoroughly, even in the hard to reach areas where bed
bugs may infest. We dust in out-of-the-way areas behind
walls by removing and treating inside the electrical plates,
plumbing voids, and baseboards. Encasements
for your mattresses and box springs -- Ask about RPC's
preferred mattress and box spring covers for added bed bug
protection. Our encasements keep bed bugs from entering your
mattresses, unlike cheap, uncomfortable vinyl covers. Follow-Up
and Inspection -- RPC will return three months after your
treatment and inspect your home for bed bugs free of charge.
Since re-infestations can occur, we highly recommend follow-up
inspections.

Bed Bugs:
- Are about 3/8 to 1/4-inches long (adults).
- Have been known to live an entire year on a single feeding.
- Infestations have become an epidemic in the past few years in several cities across the country, including Cincinnati.
- Have been reintroduced to the United States due to increased travel and immigration. Moving from one residence to another can help spread them.
- Feed on humans, as well as other animals, such as dogs and cats. However, they prefer to feed on human blood while they sleep.
- Are very difficult to control. Early detection is extremely helpful in eliminating infestations.
They can be easily carried from hotels, hospitals, work, and many other places.
